Spring Flowers

This morning, we visited Lake Shawnee Ted Ensley Garden in Topeka again. We were there for a short visit last week, but we felt we had missed a lot. This time, the tulips were not looking so good, so I sought out the other blooming plants in the garden. Among them were Lilac,

Bleeding Heart,

white Bleeding Heart,

Periwinkle,

Columbine,

Rhododendron,

Virginia Bluebells,

Hosta with morning dew,

fern,

crabapple,

Redbud,

and Hydrangea.

We’re glad we paid the garden a second visit.

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.
