This is Harland and me today. We’re here, but not really.

This weekend was very long and tiring. We participated as a vendor in an art fair down in Wichita. We left home Thursday afternoon and got home about 10:30 last night. The fair was outside, and it was very hot all weekend. But I took lots of pics of the different vendor’s goodies: handmade silver jewelry, photography, painting, furniture, hand-blown glass, and much more. The fair took place near a shopping center bordered by a beautiful duck pond. Duck lover that I am, I found myself taking lots of pics of them too. So sometime this week, I’ll do posts about the art fair and about cute little ducks too. Odd combination I know, but there you go.

And when I get home from work tonight, I’m going to do this.

I’m new here, hi 😉 What do you do for work? (Job), 9 to 5, 5 days a week ???

    • Suzanne says:

      Welcome Robin,
I work as a customer service rep for a communications company, forty hours a week. Not a bad job as jobs go, and good people to work with.

Love the posts about Old Abany Days! I love to see how people used to live. It makes our complaints of today so meaningless. We have much to be grateful for!
    Cheers! Leslie

Love the pictures, especially the pooped kitty! lol. What were you guys “vending” at the art fair?

    • Suzanne says:

      Hi Vivian,
My husband, Harland, is a photographer. He does primarily assignment work for magazines, and some print sales. We thought we’d try an art fair to see how that goes. It’s a lot of hard work, and we learned a lot about that end of the business.
You can check out his pics here: http://harland.zenfolio.com/
      Thank you!

Isn’t it always wonderful to get home where you can
relax and feel comfy again. To bad you had to go to
work today. You could have hid your head and made
like a kitty! Looking forward to the fair pics.

      Hi Doe,
I considered calling in sick, but wanted to save the sick days. It was a very long day yesterday, but am bright eyed and bushy tailed today.
Stop by today to see the ducky post I’m working on.
      Thanks!
