Just up the road on our neighbor’s land is a large pond. Regular visitors to the pond are Great Blue Herons. The stand in the shallow water along the edge fishing for small carp.
The herons had a great time while the pelicans were visiting. They followed them around eating fish that the pelicans stirred up.
I think the herons are missing the pelicans too.
