Wanna Go Outside?

This is a daily routine for Kitty. When I get home from work, she hops outside for a few minutes. She can’t go outside unattended because when we used to do that she acquired a rather dangerous habit of rolling in the dirt – in the middle of the road.  It was like a magnetic attraction. The minute we turned our backs she was in the road rolling around enjoying a leisurely dust bath.  So these days we keep an close eye on her while she’s outside.  She does sooooo love her outings.

Thanks for sharing a slice of your Kansas prarie! I love Kitty…and I love the sounds of the country….no horns…no sirens….no lawn blowers…..just locusts. I’m now a city girl and I miss my Kentucky bluegrass !

I loved it! I also would love to have someone explain why cats love to roll in dirt. Mine do too and if they cannot they will also roll on the sidewalk…what’s the deal? Does anyone know the secret? Wow are your cicadas LOUD!

Good Question. Kitty spends 23 1/2 hours per day licking herself, but when she goes outside first thing she does is roll on the sidewalk or in the dirt. I’ve tried talking sense to her, but I might as well whisper into the wind.

    Dear Kitty-
You are secretly my favorite on this website. I think you should have your own FaceBook page (friend me!) lol

      Dear Female Human Eliza,
Thank you. You can be my friend only if you bring me cans of tuna and bags of catnip.
      Sincerely,
      Her Royal Highness, Kitty 🙂
