Kitty’s Imagination

Look at me!

Look, I’m walking along the top rail of a corral fence in the old west. Wild longhorn cattle look up at me hoping I’ll fall into the corral so they can destroy me beneath their flinty hooves. But I’m too sure-footed, and walk the entire length of the fence without wavering.

Look at me!

Look, I’m snowboarding down the slopes of Mt. Everest, the first cat ever to accomplish this feat of daring. An enormous crowd of cheering fans awaits me at the bottom. They want my autograph. Hundreds of paparazzi are there too. They want to take my picture and interview me. I might let them……..I might not.

Look at me!

I’m on the bow of the Titanic as it cuts through the cold North Atlantic. The salty breeze ruffles my fur.

“I’m the queen of the world!”

Me: Hey, queen of the world, you better not be leaving any scratch marks up there on our truck.

Look at me!

I’m a stowaway on a freight train. I’ve been noticed and they’re coming to arrest me. I have to jump off the train before they catch me. It’s a long way down and the train is going 65 miles per hour, but I can do it, have no fear.

I can do anything.

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

  1. Awesome imagination that kitty has!! This made me think of Snoopy in The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown when he is a WWII flying ace in a heavy air attack and gets shot down…I love that!

So she was allowed outside for this thrilling adventure, eh?

I stayed outside to keep an eye on her. I feel so bad not letting her out in this lovely fall weather, so I let her out for a little while every day but stay outside with her.

Kitty has quite an imagination. But then, all cats do. I love the Kitty posts.
