Kitty Hiding In The Forest

Kitty is enjoying our Christmas tree as much as we are, maybe more.  She loves to sit under it probably because her instinct tells her she’s a tiger in a jungle forest awaiting her prey.

Thankfully, she doesn’t disturb the ornaments, but the nativity scene takes a beating every once in a while. She likes to knock over the sheep and the shepherd. One evening, I heard a scuffle from the living room and looked in to see her sitting there innocently.

The shepherd however was flat on his back in the middle of the floor about 3 feet from the manger. He didn’t appear to have any wounds so I put him back where he belonged and chastisted Kitty to stop harrassing him. Since Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus appeared on Christmas eve, the shepherd has been hiding behind them in the back of the manger out of harm’s way.

Kitty’s jungle world will be taken down after the Epiphany in about a week. Kitty will be disappointed, but she’ll console herself by hiding under the endtable and jumping out at the hapless humans.

After all, Kitty needs some sort of prey to practice her hunting skills.

You know Suzanne, the nicest thing about your blog is that you are real! You respond to our comments and make us readers feel part of your world, not many bloggers do that. Thanks again. And Kitty is adorable!

You can’t go wrong with a Kitty Adventure. She looks so adorable sitting between the Santa and the Nativity. Now, go break the “rule” and give her a hug and maybe a kiss between her little ears. 🙂

Happy New Year Suzanne, Harland and Kitty!

Willow…mom to 2 dogs and 4 cats. I am always breaking the “don’t pick me up and hug me” rule.

Isn’t it nice that kitty harnesses her wild instincts most of the time?! She has such an innocent face!

Ahhh…..I love it! Kitty and Christmas: what a beautiful combo! I never decorated my tree this year, so it is wonderful to see yours all Christmasy and lit up, with Kitty lurking “innocently” under it! LOL!

Kitty sounds much like our calico, Sundae as far as the Christmas tree. There was one little ornament that she kept knocking of the tree and using as a toy. (So we donated it to her!) I also have a cute photo on today’s post that I snapped of her under the tree. Fun times with our kitties! Love these photos of her.

Pretty little Kitty. Still want to give her big hugs.

  7. Oh my, that is too funny! That poor Shepherd!

I didn’t come back to give any suggestions for your writers block like I had said I would. I was thinking how you wrote so many wonderful posts and how you post 5 days a week! That is so very impressive to me! So, I’ve been keeping you in mind and I find myself wondering silly little things…like this morning as I made my coffee (Pikes Place Starbucks brand)..I was wondering, what brand of coffee does Suzanne use? Is she more of a coffee drinker or a tea drinker? I hope that doesn’t sound like a stalker!!!! LOL! hahahahaha! These are the silly things I kept coming up with. I wonder if you could do a post about you, without getting too personal of course…I mean this is going out to the whole wide world! But what about some little things….oh wait!!! just like Oprah’s favorite things!!! You should do Suzanne’s favorite things!..favorite coffee, tea, fast food, tv show, hand lotion, shower gel, candle….oh, that would be fun to read! ok! Now I have a new idea for my blog! hahaha! I think I will do that as well. So, what do you think????

Leo has a toy car that he likes to play with. I don’t know why people always hand it to me like it isn’t supposed to be sitting under the table. 🙂 Glad Kitty is enjoying her jungle.
