Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

Susanne — have you and Harlan ever been over to Rowe Sanctuary on the Platte River in Nebraska to see the sandhill cranes? Take a look at their webcam. Was looking at them yesterday and it was magnificent!!!

Oh, I’m so excited! Back in January, we booked an overnight blind on the river for the end of this month to see the cranes at Rowe’s. I’m taking my camera and video camera too. 🙂

I sure hope they’re still there!!!! My birdwatching friend called me yesterday so excited to see them. Of course, she’s seen them for real, too — unlike me — YET.
