Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

  2. What is it with cats and corn? My Tiger was the same way, wanted to be in the middle of it.

Did you get last year’s crop all eaten? Looks like you have plenty of help there.

Just got through canning 16 jars of green tomato relish. Thinking this is the last of this season’s canning. Yeah!

Great job with rewards all winter. We don’t grow corn but have a great source from some Menninite farmers.

Sweet corn and tomatoes — the perfect summer meal. Our corn is gone now, but there still are peaches, and my freezer is full. So good!

And those cats of yours are corny!

Well! I’d say there was a while lot of shucking going on there! It looks good! Did Kitty and Muffin try to taste it? 😃

It’s so nice to be hearing from you!

Glad the cats passed it! It looks yummy, wish we had fresh produce in the desert southwest like you do. I truly miss going to the farm stands but like the sunshine over the snow very winter.
