Still Fetching

Remember back in January when I did a post about little Muffin and his talent for playing Fetch? (Click HERE for a stroll down memory lane.)

Muffin was just a kitten then and I was afraid he would outgrow playing fetch with us. But guess what? He still enjoys it, although his choice of “toys” to play fetch with can be odd sometimes….

Silly boy.

We just rescued a kitten. We have an older (10 year old) rescue cat. I think of Kitty and Muffin often as I see them adjusting (and not so much adjusting) to each other. Your cats give me hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

  4. Your fetching kitty is so smart and simply precious. Better than most dogs. He fetches in such a dignified manner.

What a fetching kitty — in every sense of the word! I enjoy your posts about Kitty and Muffin so much.

I thought about you this morning when I found this post from the Homesick Texan in my mailbox. Not only does the recipe for apple cake sound scrumptious, I thought her comments about thyroid disease were interesting. They made me remember your experiences — hope all is going well. It seems they are, given your recent posts about the construction projects!

thanks so much for the link to the apple cake. I’m going to try it this weekend, and it looks like there are a lot of other yummy recipies on that site too. I’m bookmarking. Thanks.

Thank you for asking about my thyroid issue. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last March, had to have radiation to destroy my thyroid, and then I became hypothyroid. Am on daily meds and will be for the rest of my life. Last year was pretty rough: weight loss, weight gain, hair loss, inability to sleep, etc etc., but I’m doing much better these days. I wish I had known the symptoms and recognized what was wrong with me sooner. Everyone should familiarize themselves with the symptoms of both Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism. It’s more common most of us realize.

He’s so durn cute. And, you gave me an idea for a cat toy (supervised of course).

I got quite a chuckle out of Muffin and his most dignified way of playing fetch! It’s so different from our woofies, who tear around and race after the toy full speed! Some have also raced back with the prize, as if it was the most important part of the game! They’re so funny, and so different from Muffin! He’s just plain elegant about it! Thanks for sharing. I’ll check our the link Linda shared too.
