Sometimes when we are out driving on backroads and we come across animals(horses, cows, goats, pigs, etc) grazing near a fence, I just have to stop and talk to them. You know, they see vehicles drive past them all day. But does anyone stop and ask them how they are doing?
Seems kinda rude. So I
make ask Harland to stop the truck and I ask them how the grazing is, how they and their friends are doing, are they happy with where they are in their lives, where did they get their hair done, you know – important stuff.
They thank us for stopping, invite us back for tea at a later date, and we go on about our journey. So next time you are out and about, make time for the grazers.
Their lives are kinda dull, and they’ll appreciate your thoughtfulness.
