My First Post

Another cloudy day on the prairie. We had a long winter with more snow than anyone could remember since the 8os- more than 3 feet total. It didn’t finally all melt off until the last couple weeks. But now we have mud everywhere. Weatherman says possible sun today. If it pops out, the prairie dwellers will run outdoors, and bask like lizards.   Ahhhhh…….

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

The Year on the Prairie Calendar is breathtakingly wonderful!! I love driving cross country. Your neck of the woods is my Favorite. I always plan for free time, to just wander. The endless beauty is remarkable!

I love your blog-site, it is so diverse and different I am always entertained. I had no idea there were so many interesting places to see in that part of the country. As a child, I spent 2 years in Ft Hays, Kansas and it was a joy for me. Maybe not my parents, but I had a blast.

    Thank you so much
