Ozark Color
While we missed the peak of the fall foliage when we went down into the Arkansas Ozarks last week, we still were able to find some good color here and there.
Last night I saw a quote from one of my favorite authors, George Eliot, and I knew I just had to share it with you:
“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”
I agree with George 100%, especially with winter knocking on our door.

I don’t know much about the Ozarks, but these are certainly beautiful photos!
I like the snag in the first photo as an anchoring and focal point for the rest of the picture.
Nice shots!
I do so love the Ozarks! Your pictures are beautiful!
I have never been there and don’t know alot about the Ozarks but they are one of the prettiest places I have ever seen in your pics. I love Fall.
Wow! What beautiful landscape!! I love the ripples in the ground! So pretty!
Just beautiful…I love those vibrant orange colors!
The colors of autumn help ease the bleakness of winter and a reminder that Spring is around the corner after the cold winter. . . BUT I am looking forward to seeing some snow, shoveling it off sidewalks, playing in it. I, too, have beautiful autumn colors on my blog but anxiously await their departure as I know the snows will arrive shortly.
Beautiful! Wish I were there. Love the quote. Autumn is such a beautiful and bittersweet season, as we know what is coming around the corner!!
Very pretty pictures. How lucky you were to see this.
I love the George Eliot quote, and wish I could follow the autumn, too! My favorite season!
You take beautiful pictures! I’d like to be there, pull up a chair, and just stare at the landscape for a day. And I love, love, love the Eliot quote; I feel the same way. Thanks so much.
Simply beautiful photos.
For those who have never experienced the Ozarks in the fall with their myriad of colors and the purple haze hanging over the tree tops early and the smell of wood fires in the morning is my idea of a bit of heaven right their. Beautiful pictures as usual Suzanne.
So colorful and pretty! I would love to see that someday!
Thanks for sharing the photos!
Beautiful Missouri, How I miss it. The quote is perfect! Great photos!
