And while I was trying to decide what to wear….
…kitty hopped into the drawer and made herself at home.
KITTY: Oh Hey, this is a really nice place to take a nap!
ME: No, it’s my dresser drawer, not a bed.
KITTY: Why didn’t you tell me about this before? It’s perfect!
ME: Because I didn’t want you lying on my clean clothes.
KITTY: It’s all soft and warm…
ME: Please get out.
KITTY: And sheltered from the elements…
ME: We don’t have any elements in the house. Now please get out.
KITTY: I’m going to do all my napping in here from now on.
ME: I’m going to close the drawer trapping you in there…so you’d better get out.
KITTY: You seem kinda grumpy…maybe YOU need to take a nap. Here, I’ll move over, there’s room for both of us in here.
ME: *Sigh*

What a beautiful dresser. No wonder Kitty wants to nap there.
Thank you! I bought it over 20 years ago from an antique store for about $100. It was covered in a really dark heavy old varnish, and my dad lovingly refinished it for me. He died just a few years later, so besides it being a lovely antique, it’s also my favorite because my dad worked on it.
I was thinking the same thing about the dresser! Miss Kitty is too funny!
Oh my gosh! That is just too cute! Kitty isn’t spoiled or anything like that, is she??? hehehe! That really would be a cozy spot for a little thing, huh. By the way, I love your dresser..it is beautiful. I love old furniture like that.
How dare you try to dethrone Kitty! 🙂
Kitty is just way to cute and lovable. My cat loves the P.J. drawer.
Suzanne, show her the lint roller! She is a pretty Kitty, and I will join the dresser fans, also pretty!
Love your dresser….love that you have it as a remembrance of your Dad.
As for Kitty…..I am wordless, but smiling!

Becca
The next-to-last picture and caption are purrfect! Kitty is adorable!
Oh, Kitty, you are always getting into mischief. That is a lovely dresser, though. I think I would like to take a nap there, too. xx
LOL! Our cat used to do that too. These days, with the kids gone, the drawers don’t get left open very often, so she has resorted to sleeping on the clean, just folded laundry, that’s waiting to be carried upstairs. She must think that “covered in kitty fur “is our favorite fashion look.
