I’m IN!
Lately, Muffin has decided he needs to be IN everything.
If I open a door anywhere, he’s right there.
Muffin: “Oh! Whatcha doin? Let me take a look!!”
So I let him explore so he can learn his environment. I love his curiosity.
The fridge is his favorite place to explore, for obvious reasons. Such is his fascination there, that we can close the door, give him a few seconds and open the door back up expecting he’ll want to get out, only to find that he’s still exploring in there in the dark.
Me: “Muffin, we closed the door on you as a way of encouraging you to get out.”
Muffin: “No, that’s ok. I’m good in here.”
Me: “Sigh.”
Not to worry…we love Muffin and would never leave him in there for more than a few seconds. The vast majority of the time, I remove him from the fridge as soon as he jumps in there, and I’m getting a lot of practice as he does this about a 100 times a day.
Open the fridge, in hops the cat, take out the cat, close the door.
Open the fridge, in hops the cat, take out the cat, close the door.
Open the fridge, in hops the cat, take out the cat, close the door.
Open the fridge, in hops the cat, take out the cat, close the door.
Open the fridge, in hops the cat, take out the cat, close the door.
All day long…….
Muffin: “But FridgeWorld is such a neat place!”
Me: “I know dear. And so is TolietWorld, ClosetWorld, WasherWorld, DryerWorld, DishwasherWorld, DresserWorld, ShowerWorld, PantryWorld, and NightstandWorld. We’re hoping it’s a phase and you’ll grow out of it. “
Muffin: ” Hmm?”
Me: “Nevermind dear. You just keep being YOU.”
Muffin: “Ok! I do that best of all!”

What a world!
How are his siblings doing in their new home?
Love all your posts!
Florida hugs,

So darn cute!!
What a character he’s becoming!! 🙂 I hope he never hops into the washer when it’s full of soapy water! He’s getting more and more beautiful, too!
So cute – he looks like so much fun.
(Please take this advice in the spirit in which it’s offered: PLEASE always check the clothes dryer for him before starting a load of clothes. My friend lost her kitty that way…) And that certainly wasn’t meant to imply that you wouldn’t do that!
We do. Thanks Dianna!
He is so darling and so much fun. This is also a very dangerous stage. Refrigerators, washers and dryers are BAD places to be curious about. I don’t even want to go there. It is still too painful.

I know. He’s so naive. We often talk about how if he was an outside cat, his life expectancy would be short…
Awww Muffin I love your conversations with the peeps!
My 23 pounder Max is the same way. He will actually pull things he wants out of the frig onto the floor. Muffy is sooo cute! I think you’ve got a really special guy there.
